Tuna & Catnip Treats

Ingredients 

  • 2 egg whites 
  • 2 5-ounce solid light tuna 
  • 1 teaspoon catnip

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 °F 
  2. Beat egg whites 
  3. Blend tuna, 1/4 cup beaten egg white, and catnip until completely smooth 
  4. Put mixture in a piping bag and pipe 3/4-inch dollops onto a baking sheet 
  5. Bake 20-25 minutes 
  6. Cool treats completely before storing and sharing

Pumpkin Treats

Ingredients 

  • 7 oz fresh tuna
  • 1 egg
  • 0.7 oz carrot
  • 0.7 oz pumpkin
  • 1.5 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon catnip herb
  • 0.8 cup integral oat flour

Directions

  1. Preheat to 350 °F 
  2. Roast tuna and pumpkin. Let it cool and then crush ingredients.
  3. Next, beat the egg, add peeled and grated carrot, catnip, olive oil, tuna, and pumpkin. 
  4. Add the oat flour and mix until dough forms. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  5. Spread the dough up to 0.5 inches thick. Cut with any shape you like. 
  6. Place the cookies on a greased tray and bake at 350 °F for 10-15 minutes. 
  7. Let cool and store in the fridge for 1 week.

Turkey Treats

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 cup ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F  
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, turkey, oil and egg to create a hefty dough.
  3. Knead dough into a ball.
  4. Lightly flour workspace.
  5. Roll out dough to about ¼ inch thickness.
  6. Use a mold to shape out desired design.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 20 mins.

Sardine & Flax Seed With Catnip Treats

Ingredients 

  • 1 3–4 oz. package of Sardines
  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons flax seed
  • ¼ cup catnip
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F 
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. Finely chop the catnip and mix the flour, flaxseed, and catnip in a bowl.
  4. Place the sardines, oil, and egg in the food processor/blender and mix until pureed.
  5. Combine all ingredients and stir.
  6. Flip the dough out onto a flour-lined flat surface.
  7. Press to ¼” thickness and cut out with desired shapes.
  8. Bake on a cookie sheet for 10–12 minutes.

Salmon Treats

Ingredients 

  • 10 oz canned salmon
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour

Directions

  1. Preheat  350 °F 
  2. Gently beat the egg.
  3. Pour the salmon into a food processor/blender until smooth.
  4. Mix all ingredients until you have a smooth dough.
  5. Roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  6. Cut treats to desired shape.
  7. Bake the treats for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 °F.

Carrot & Catnip Treats 

Ingredients 

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon dried catnip
  • 3/4 cup finely shredded carrot
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • cold water as needed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 °F 
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, add oil and mix in 1 cup of the flour until the mixture looks sandy.
  4. Stir in catnip and carrots. Then mix in the egg. 
  5. Sprinkle flour and roll dough to ¼ inch thickness. 
  6. Cut to desired shape.
  7. Bake for about 12 minutes or until starting to brown. 
  8. Let cool. Store in an airtight container for several days or freeze for longer storage.
