Getting your pup to and from daycare shouldn’t be stressful—that’s where we come in! Our transportation service for dogs in Chicago is designed to make your day easier while keeping your dog safe and comfortable from doorstep to daycare.

Whether you need a morning pick-up, an afternoon drop-off, or both, we’ve got your dog covered.

How It Works

Dogs are assigned a 20-minute estimated time window for pick-up and drop-off. Our trained team ensures each ride is smooth, secure, and suited to your dog’s comfort level.

To maintain a safe environment in our vehicles, dogs must:

  • Be calm and relaxed during transport

  • Be non-territorial around other dogs

  • Not exhibit excessive barking or disruptive behaviors

If your dog becomes overly stressed or unsafe in transit, we may suggest alternative arrangements for their well-being and the safety of others.

Need Us to Run Your Dog Upstairs?

We offer a VIP (very important pup) In-Home Pick-Up & Drop-Off option for situations where no one is available to meet us outside. A Fire Hydrant team member can securely enter your home to pick up or drop off your dog—no worries, no waiting.

For private transport:

  • It’s a solo ride with no other dogs

  • Is available Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM to 4:45 PM

  • Must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance

Your dog’s safety is our top priority—every step of the way. From the moment we arrive at your door to the moment they arrive at daycare, we follow strict safety protocols to ensure a smooth and secure ride.

Here’s how we keep every pup safe in transit:

Crate-Free, Supervised Rides: Our transportation is crate-free, and dogs ride together as a group. To maintain a safe and peaceful environment, we only transport dogs who meet our behavior guidelines and are comfortable riding with others. Each ride is closely supervised by trained staff to ensure all dogs remain calm and secure throughout the trip.

Trained Drivers: All transportation staff are trained in dog handling, emergency procedures, and safe driving practices.

Clean & Secure Vehicles: Our vehicles are routinely cleaned and maintained. Dogs are securely leashed during transport to prevent escapes and ensure their safety while in transit.

Emergency Protocols: Our team is trained in Pet CPR and First Aid, and we carry emergency supplies in each vehicle.

Daily Health Checks: Dogs showing signs of illness may not be transported to prevent potential spread to others.

Weather Awareness: We adjust routes or limit rides during extreme weather to ensure your dog’s safety and comfort.
