Fire Hydrant Doggy Daycare is an enrichment school for dogs that persistently strives to be a safe and enriching environment for dogs. We are here to boost not only dogs’ socialization skills, but to also keep them active and to improve dogs livelihoods through enrichment, play, and sniffari’s! The Fire Hydrant Team teaches the dogs indoor and outdoor manners, leash manners, and how to engage with dogs of all breeds & sizes!

Two (2) days per week is required. This is due to what we teach the dogs, and providing them with a consistent routine. It helps the dogs retain the information, and gives them the time to practice-practice-practice.
At Fire Hydrant, we’re committed to the ongoing education of our daycare team. Throughout their time with us, team members receive continuous training and opportunities to grow their skills. We proudly support their path toward professional certifications such as CPDT and PACCC, setting them up to become certified dog trainers. This investment in our staff ensures we provide the highest level of care and service to your dog every day they’re with us.
Our doggy daycare in Old Town Chicago is open Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 8:00pm.

Each daycare student will receive their own customized student bag to hold their belongings, they each get to participate in art projects, photoshoots, and all kinds of fun and unique activities that they get to take home and show to their paw-rents!
And to show off all their accomplishments to their fellow classmates — each pup has the opportunity to earn badges to display on their student bag!

Our doggy daycare is different from others because we only allow a maximum of 22 dogs per day. It is a smaller scale (1300 sq ft) daycare that is intimate, has natural lighting, and no cages! We promote a sense of CALM.
Our space is perfect for dogs that do not do well at the large and louder daycares. Fire Hydrant is perfect for dogs that are a bit more anxious and need time to grow their confidence. Our daycare is perfect for dogs who like structure, routine, going on walks, and the opportunity to use their brains during the day — all while making friends!
